An object of daily use becomes a means of artistic expression.

Yoel García Rivero (Yogari) has just inaugurated his most recent personal exhibition “The Coin”, in the theater – cinema of Quivicán, province of Mayabeque, Cuba.

On this occasion, the photographer uses the numismatic object as the central thematic axis of the photographic compositions that make up this exhibition that will be open to the public until next February 12th.

In it the author of these snapshots, tries to achieve that an object of social use with economic value as currency, is linked to the different contemporary creative forms framed in the so-called “digital art“.

The motifs present a marked use of the digital edition, in which the different manipulations of the image result in frames built from the author’s own world view and where the viewer is offered a reality as least alienated as possible.

Yogari is part of the group of audiovisual artist’s ¡Que Bolá!, from this Cuban province, in addition those interested in his work can find a selection of some of their pieces in his Artecru profile.
