The artist is part of the project “Salt water”
Three pieces of the series “The altar of the homeland” and “Stories and exorcisms”, made in oil on canvas and with respective dimensions of 53 x 73 cm, two of 36 x 46 cm and 100 x 140 cm, are part of the project “Agua sallada” collective, presented this Sunday at 6:00 p.m., in the building located at number 21st of Santuario street, in the capital municipality of Regla.
This exhibition is presented as a happening, due to its ephemeral and informal nature, as a collateral exhibition of the Havana Biennial and it also integrates various poetics of young and renowned artists Alejandro Campins, Elizabet Cerviño, Darwin Estacio, Luis E López-Chávez, Yornel Martínez, Michel Pérez “Pollo” and José E. Yaque, all natives of Manzanillo (Cuba), as well as Yeremy Guerra; with which he coincided in their studies at the Higher Institute of Art and other teaching centers.
The visions of the landscape, the historical evolution and the present with its load of images that remain in the retina as latent prints are integrated into the precarious structure of the building and with the richness of the plastic language dominated by the creator.
At the opening, personalities of the national culture were present, such as the plastic artist Flavio Garciandía, press media such as the magazines “Arte por excelencia” and “CdeCuba”, founders of Galería Continua, the Ambassador of Peru in Cuba His Excellency Mr. Guido O. Toro Cornejo, other creators of the country and lovers of the arts in general.
In his Artecru profile, those interested can follow the artistic career of Yeremy Guerra Reyes.
