Photography as a means of expression, communication, connection and understanding between the proposed scene and the public, photographic discourses in a multiplicity of expressions; all under the title of “Pulse.”
A collective proposal resulting from an educational process led and taught by photographer Julio César García Martínez, which grouped 9 young people who appropriated the codes of photography for the construction and explanation of their realities and social contexts.
Inaugurated in the studio – workshop of the contemporary creator located near the emblematic Parque de La Libertad in the Matanzas city, Cuba; In the images presented, each author displayed the connotative profotagraphic and photographic resources according to the intentionality he wished to convey; from emblematic urban locations of the well-known City of Bridges to the most interesting and picturesque social characters of the city.
In “Pulse”, García Martínez shows that contemporary art goes beyond the creative process and exhibition of the pieces, and that it is an educational way to imbricate the same viewers to become their own visual creators, always taking into account aesthetic – conceptual patterns.
