
The initiative is inserted as part of the XIII Biennial of Havana.
The study – workshop of the renowned visual artist Manuel López Oliva will become an Open Studio during the development of the XIII Biennial Havana inaugurated this April 12th in the capital of Cuba.
Anglophone term; this type of activity is intended to promote promotion, dissemination, creativity and experimentation in an atmosphere of cultural exchange, conversation, encouragement and freedom of expression.
Those who visit the workshop located on Leonor Pérez Street in Havana’s historical center will be able to appreciate creations that fuse the codes of theater and plastic arts in the same compositional scene.
This will be accompanied by videos – art by Gecer López García, who, according to the specialist and curator Deney Terry: “generates metaphors for reflection that unite referents of society and circus”.
The initiative is an invitation to learn not only the vast professional career of López Oliva, but it is an opportunity to know certain aspects and interiors of the work of the prestigious Cuban creator.
