
The lens artist achieves another award in his professional career.
Julio César García Martínez, one of the exponents of the universe of photograms in Matanzas City, has just won the Silver Winner of the Tokyo International Photo Awards.
The visual creator won the prize in the category of “Fine Arts – Portrait” with his work “Maria”, an intimate, subjective and sensitive snapshot of 61 x 40 cm with the printing technique on cardboard that makes up his series “El Kingdom of this world.”
“The contest recognizes, honors and connects talented photographers from all over the world with new audiences and new eyes in the creative circles of Tokyo, Japan,” as expressed in the announcement of the Asian competition.
To this achievement is added the one reached last October of 2018 when the author of this piece reached the Honorable Mention in the edition of the International Photography Awards (IPA).
