The understanding of the surrounding environment is the reason that gives life to this work.

“Incoherent resignation” one of the most recent visual creations of contemporary artist Yunier Tamayo Sánchez can be appreciated these days for those who visit the Provincial Center of Visual Arts of Bayamo city as part of the collective project “Of the defect, the effect”.

Made in mixed media technique on canvas (183 x 137cm), in it the artist continues along the path of human figuration (in this case the self-portrait) taken up since his last personal exhibition, as a pretext for the elaboration of a pictorial discourse that he takes as reference some anthropological elements – ethnographic.

In this work Tamayo Sánchez draws on their skills as an acute observer and analyst of his surroundings, in which he reflects himself. It is seen from a social and human perspective of everything that surrounds it and translates it into a varied artistic expression that in recent times has characterized his artistic career.

From the codes of contemporaneity, “Incoherent resignation” can be understood as a retrospective coherence of the human being always from the rethinking, reflection and existential circumstances.

A selection of his work can be seen in his personal profile in the visual community of Artecru.
