The pictorial work of Yoandry Cáceres Rivero will be present in the collective exhibition “Heirs of Hatuey”; that it gathers representatives of the arts visual contemporaries of Cuba from January 9th in the Civic Center Barceloneta of Barcelona, Spain.
“I am here”, it is the piece proposed by Cáceres Rivero that appeals again to the figuration through the portrait; always with a touch that it confers him a very own stamp as artist, without moving away from established canons from the aesthetic and conceptual.
This composition is possessor of a message that could be interpreted as a rebellion scream, statement or of existence expression (maybe its title); according to each spectator’s perspective; sustained in turn by the own pictorial dramaturgic recreated by their author.
Cáceres Rivero appeals again to the employment of the oil on canvas to express the restlessness of a surrounding environment that conform the lattice of behaviors and the man’s attitudes before diverse existential situations.
“Heirs of Hatuey”: “it is a representative exhibition of the current Cuban art that less you leave and that more it is carried out”, according to its commissary Ángel Alonso. “Also, it is not discriminated against in her any expressive language, it is a wide look to what is making and it doesn’t stop before classifications, names neither prejudice”.
