“Room 35”, oil on canvas, 180 x 160

The young artist was one of those selected to participate in this event.

Room 35” and “False Promises“, two oils on canvas of 180 x 160 cm they were the works presented by Frank David Valdés in the Fair of Art of Beirut, Lebanon in its edition of 2018.

Favored by South Border Gallery and Arthaus International and with Michel’s El Daher guardianship, the contest contained 20 creators from Cuba, Venezuela and Chile besides the artists of the country host.

The pieces exhibited by the painter and Cuban designer are characterized by a high and marked employment of the color, with visual scenes that reflect a reality transformed by the fiction or a fiction that it tries to be reality.

In “Room 35”, it seems an extracted scene of one of Julio’s Verne novels.

While “False Promises”,the thematic of the frequent interaction among that civilized and the wild of the planet is the conductive thread;  a sample of how the man and the animals have crossed the frontiers so much territorial as of behavior.

Both compositions always present a strong load and imaginary symbolism as starting point his creator.
